The committee is hear to help. We are a group of volunteers with a passion for football and raising money for local charities. We work closely with Scunthorpe United to support our causes with football being a integral part of our past times. We are available to see and have a chat with in the Iron Bar at Glanford Park before and after any home fixture.
Our aim is to ensure that all of our members can get to away fixtures and support our local team in conjunction with raising money for local charities and enabling all generations to be involved and having a laugh.
Our committee is made up of volunteers which comprises of Senior Officials and nominated committee members.
The Committee comprises of Neal Campbell (Chairman), Leon McClements (Vice Chairman), Kelly Christmas (Bus Secretary), Allen Mitchell (Treasurer), Leanne Halliday (Events Secretary), Peter Foster (Committee Member), Arthur Pugsley (Committee Member), Vinnie Marshall (Committee Member) and Rick Clayton (Committee Member).
Every year the SUOSC members choose a charity to primarily fund raise for. The purpose of this is to support charities which are known in our local community. We raise money through a variety of different incentives such as through sponsorships, organising events and through raffles and auctions.
Charities supported so far includes the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Neurological Rehabilitation Unit, Friends of Pakati, Help for the Homeless, Scunthorpe United youth academy.
